“Nelson - why such a hero?”

An illustrated talk by Mr Ray Aldis, Historian of the Nelson Society

Mr Aldis tells us why, amongst all our military heroes, Nelson remains the most popular and commemorated. It briefly covers the great victories that captured public imagination at the time, and are still remembered today, including his 'warrior's death' at Trafalgar.  It discusses his bravery, his faith, his people skills, his leadership abilities and compares him with Wellington.
